BBC Radio London hosted by Alex Pascall and Lawrence Spicer on LBC’s
Religious Affairs programme. Done a stint at Thames Television as a researcher on the Friday Live Programme with host Danny Baker. However, after returning to University to gain her degree and post-graduate qualifications in media management, journalism and media studies she was led towards print. She worked at the Jamaica Gleaner Newspaper – London desk as a reporter, and freelanced for the Voice Newspaper. Along the way she managed to even publish her own Londonwide magazine called “MainEvent”. Apart from writing Sandra who has a love of people enjoyed interviewing many artists such as entertainers such as; Roy Ayres, Lonnie Liston-Smith, Tom Brown, Jean Carne and many more. By 2000 she founded Strategy Consultants a public relations and marketing consultancy based in Barbados and developed a network of key affiliates across the globe www.strategyconsultantsgroup.com . She has also utilized her experience in the business and entrepreneurial world to assist the community with projects ranging from empowerment programmes designed to assist women returners to gain employment, to research projects with recommendations into how to tackle AIDS awareness. Sandra’s work has taken her to exotic islands of St Lucia, Tobago, St Martain and Guyana. She, often lectures at careers fairs to students in schools and offers internships to students from the locale and overseas. She has been featured a BBC TV nationwide series Into Print, and by Channel 4. Currently Sandra enjoys listening to jazz, alternative rock, learning to play golf, and painting. She has also been involved in acting, appearing as an extra in that popular English Soap Opera EastEnders, The Steal with Rob Lowe and a high-tech detective series called BUGS. She is an active consultant for public and private sector agencies particularly in the Caribbean and UK. Apart from her public relations projects Sandra actively works as a community Developer, Facilitator and Assessor for Project Proposal Workshops and Courses, which are now certified by the Government of Barbados. Although Sandra was born in the UK she has lived on the beautiful island of Barbados, West Indies since 1999.
